Emilie Spire

Partner, Special Projects

Emilie Spire is part of Phoenix Court’s special project team, bringing extensive experience across early ventures and investing.

Emilie was previously the founder of Noala, a clinically-proven platform with the mission of making speech and language therapy accessible. After raising venture funding, including from LocalGlobe, she pivoted the business to open-source its technology for charities for free, and eventually sold its assets to Everway in 2025.

In 2024, Emilie became Head of Operations at Human Native, another LocalGlobe-backed startup: a data marketplace designed to bridge the gap between AI developers and content creators. Working closely with founders James and Jack, she helped refine user positioning, restructure partnerships, and sharpen their focus on the first mile problem. The company was acquired by Cloudflare in January this year.

This is not Emilie’s first stint in VC, having previously worked as an investor at Felix Capital when she first moved to London. She led investments in YFood and noissue, while also working closely with teams at Manual, TravelPerk, Heetch and La Ruche.

Emilie was born and raised in Paris, where she studied Business and Finance at University Paris Dauphine, before starting her career at EY, Partech, and BlaBlaCar. Outside of work, she enjoys long walks in nature with my dog and spending time with friends and family.
